Join us for a better understanding of what the American Taxpayer Relief Act means for individuals for both income tax and transfer tax purposes!
Following a hectic time in Washington, Congress passed the "American Taxpayer Relief Act" on January 1, 2013. The Act prevents many of the tax increases that were scheduled to go into effect this year, retains many favorable tax breaks that were scheduled to expire, increases income taxes for certain high-income individuals, and has made changes to the transfer tax system. The question still remains as to whether or not major fiscal issues have been resolved since the Act extends sequestration until March 1, 2013. Join us from the comfort of your home or office for this live webcast that offers a summary of the Act, an overview of the opportunities that have been created by the Act, and a discussion on what issues still remain. Additional topics include: understanding how the Act affects individuals for both income and transfer tax issues; the various opportunities and pitfalls that lie ahead; planning for 2013; how the Act impacts existing plans; and the issues that were not addressed with the new Act.
