Don’t miss this overview of the recently revised
"Style Manual of the Supreme and Appellate Courts of Illinois"!

The Style Manual of the Supreme and Appellate Courts of Illinois is on its Fourth Edition, which was approved in 2010 by the Supreme Court of Illinois and revised in 2012. Join us for this unique opportunity to hear from the manual’s author, Brian Ervin, who serves as the Reporter of Decisions for the Illinois Supreme Court. The program serves to identify the differences between the Style Manual and The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation®, and discusses the burgeoning efforts of the Court in the e-publication of Supreme and Appellate Court opinions. Attorneys and members of the court who attend this seminar will gain a better understanding of:
  • What is mandated under the Manual;
  • How it differs from the Blue Book;
  • What has changed since the Manual was last updated;
  • What is likely to change in the future (and when); and
  • What best practices should be employed.
